This white paper shows the real-world application and performance of the N-Light™ Salmonella Risk indicator test. It provides insights into its effectiveness for the risk management of Salmonella spp. in environmental monitoring. Whereas most studies describing the performance of pathogen tests present data from carefully designed experiments utilizing well-known bacterial strains, we took a step outside of lab experiments' well-controlled and pre-designed environment. We ventured into the challenging and dynamic environment of a real-life food factory. We performed the study in an egg processing factory in one of the most challenging environments for controlling the Salmonella presence.
